Awatere Valley

Awatere Valley begins from the south of Blenheim and extends right up to Ward. It covers the area of Dashwood, Moleswoth Station, Lake Grassmere and the townships of Seddon and Ward.

A book worth reading about residents of part of the Awatere Valley is ‘Awatere Valley Today and Yesterday’, published by the Awatere Valley Branch of Women’s Division of Federated Farmers. The successful book’s first edition was published in 1965 and the second in 1987.
